Auf dem Schießstand
Büchsen und Gewehre müssen vor dem Jagdeinsatz auf dem Schießstand "eingeschossen" werden. Dabei wird die Zieloptik eingestellt oder z.B. bei mehrläufigen Waffen die Neigung der Läufe zueinander fein justiert.
Ich hatte Gelegenheit, den Büchsenmachermeister J. Butzer und Kollegen bei dieser Arbeit zu begleiten.

Rifles and guns must be “zeroed in” at the shooting range before hunting. The aiming optics are adjusted or, for example, in the case of multi-barreled weapons, the inclination of the barrels relative to one another is finely adjusted.
I had the opportunity to accompany master gunsmith J. Butzer and colleagues on this work.
