Powerplant ELBE
A defunct lignite powerhouse, located near Wittenberg, Germany at the river Elbe.
Originally built in 1937-40, the plant was decommissioned in 1994 & is stripped of most of its movable parts. Due to the danger of collapses, no safe access is possible, anymore today (2025).
Ein stillgelegtes Braunkohlekraftwerk in der Nähe von Wittenberg an der Elbe. Das ursprünglich 1937–1940 erbaute Kraftwerk wurde 1994 stillgelegt. Die beweglichen Teile sind längst ausgebaut. Wegen akuter Einsturzgefährdung ist das Gebäude heute nicht mehr betretbar (2025).
