Sialkot in the Northeast of Pakistan is a center for metal works. All kind of - mostly - handheld cutting tools are produced here.
About 130.000 people are working in the industry of surgical instruments. Although, the production of pre-forms is mechanized, most of the meticulous finishing work is done manually.

Rund 130.000 Menschen arbeiten in der chirurgischen Instrumentenindustrie. Obwohl die Produktion der Vorformen mechanisiert ist, erfolgt die sorgfältige Endbearbeitung größtenteils manuell.
